At Spago on Feb. 14, listen to live entertainment by Verve Recording artist Brenna Whitaker and her seven-piece band. Chef Wes Avila’s Yucatan-inspired restaurant is braising bone-in short rib for two with a red wine reduction and fingerling potatoes and offering a pot du cremeaux with macerated farmers market cherries and 14K gold leaf for dessert. The “La Fresita” cocktail is made with housemade strawberry soda, blanco tequila, lemon juice and salt cacao rim. The Fairmont Century Plaza is offering a cozy experience throughout February. Redbird Progressive Valentine’s Day menu 

There are two special events at Redbird on Feb. 14. One is a progressive tasting menu journey that begins in the Redbird garden with canapes and champagne. Then the evening is capped off in the Cardinal’s Quarters on the restaurant’s top floor with dessert and port by the fire. Owner & executive chef of Otoño Teresa Montaño’s special Valentine’s menu is a nod to her former Ración restaurant, a local favorite in Old Town Pasadena. Starting on Monday, Feb. 13 through Friday, Feb. 17, Otoño will offer a special six-course tasting menu for $95 per person. There is also an optional wine pairing for $45 per person, and there will be specialty cocktails made for the evening. Reservations are required. Chef Ray Garcia has created two Valentine’s Day menus. One is a four-course menu for $125 per person with a $50 cocktail pairing and $55 wine pairing. The other is six-course menu at $160. Special tasting at Yangban Society

The Korean-American Restaurant and chefs Katianna and John Hong offer a celebratory Valentine’s Day tasting menu for $85 per person. Little Dom’s pizza-making kit for two

Couples can create their own heart shaped pizza for $20 at Little Dom’s. The kit includes two uncooked pizza doughs, one jar of tomato sauce and a ball of fresh mozzarella.
